Ordering Concrete

• Truck Orders: Agitator trucks (Minis) usually hold up to 3m³. Standard trucks hold 6m³ to 8m³. Minimum delivery fees apply if you order less than 3m³ from major suppliers (Boral, Hanson, Holcim).
• Bags vs Truck: One 20kg bag of concrete yields roughly 0.01m³. It takes approximately 100 x 20kg bags to make 1m³. If you need more than 0.5m³, a truck is usually cheaper and vastly faster.
• Wastage: 10% is critical for slabs as sub-grades are rarely perfectly level. It is much cheaper to order an extra 0.2m³ than to run short and pay for a return load.
